Would presume a quite month this one with DB now throwing the towel
with the 37's on Yorkshire Sandites I have seen better management in
a chicken coop!
First trip out of the month was only a local one with nothing being
about Saturday 3rd and weather being rather crap Sunday 4th produced
the first shot being 60022 on a return ballast working from Lincoln
which had to run round at Hatfield because of no access to Doncaster
Decoy from the south. Two shots at follows at Hatfield and Stainforth
and also on the way home something different in the form of a Hymek!
Quick rush over to Great Heck after work on a day which had been mainly
clear sky's all day turned out not as planned. Just at the 60 came round
the corner cloud covered the sun and a bit of quick thinking made sure
it was not a wasted trip, One of my first sunset shots!
Another local trip on Sunday 12th produced two nice shots in winter
light, 60040 arriving into Stainforth on a return ballast train from
Chesterfield to run round before departing to Doncaster, Second shot
being Yorkshire's first sandite train of the season passing Sherburn.
Friday 16th was the last shot of the month with my normal camrea of
5Z18 with the new ETL 86's heading north on an ECS for the weekends
tours ahead..
On the last day of the month a trip into the north east produced a
pair of tractors on sandite though sadly the camera decided it was going
to throw in the towel so a basic point and press camera saved the day?
Will let you all be the judge on that!
